We are looking for an Investment Analyst to join KMG Rompetrol in Bucharest. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably gained within a Big 4 Transaction Services, Deal Advisory, Valuation or Corporate Finance team.

Your new role: supporting the evaluation and execution of strategic investment opportunities by building and maintaining complex financial models, conducting detailed commercial and financial analyses, and reporting on your findings.
Activities going to help you shine:
• Analyze financial statements, market trends and industry dynamics to assess the performance and prospects of potential investment opportunities.
• Build, review and maintain financial models (DCF, business plans, valuation and scenario analysis) to support investment decisions.
• Perform commercial and financial due diligence, assess investment risks and validate business assumptions.
• Identify risks and value drivers, and assess their impact on the investment case.
• Prepare investment reports, presentations and recommendations for senior management and investment committees.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and Group companies on investment projects, strategic initiatives and financial analyses.
• Keep up to date with macroeconomic developments, market trends and industry-specific insights relevant to investment decisions.

• Bachelor’s Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within a Big 4 advisory practice.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights
• Previous experience in the energy sector or a related industry will be a plus
• Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Selection process
As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a practical financial modelling assessment, demonstrating their ability to build and analyze an integrated financial model and support an investment recommendation.
